Honey Cake

Experience the sweet taste of Rosh Hashanah with this exquisite honey cake, a collaboration between Shoresh and United Bakers. Baked in-house by United Bakers, this cake is made with pure, liquid gold honey from Shoresh's Bee Sanctuary at Bela Farm, located just north of Toronto.

The honey is a unique blend harvested during the auspicious month of Elul, when forager bees gather nectar from millions of wildflowers. This special process results in a honey that is lovingly harvested, jarred, and shared with the community, embodying the Jewish value of sustainability.

This rich, moist honey cake is a perfect centerpiece for your holiday table. Each cake, baked in an 8.6" x 6" pan, serves 6 to 8 slices.

Ingredients: AP flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, X-large eggs, vanilla, honey, canola oil, orange juice, black tea, orange zest, dark brown sugar, and white sugar.
